KISSEL MURDER POSSIBLY A SUICIDE-FOR-HIRE

It may have been a suicide-for-hire after all.

Greenwich cops today left open the possibility that millionaire real estate mogul Andrew Kissel paid his assistant and another man to kill him - leaving a $15 million life insurance policy to his family.

"If it ends up being the case, that's fine," said Police Chief David Ridberg, referring to the theory that was first reported by The Post shortly after the April 2006 murder.

"If it doesn't end up being the case, that's fine too.

"We won't talk about motive," he added. "There was no particular 'aha!' moment that led to the arrest."

Kissel was about to plead guilty to federal real estate fraud charges when he was found beaten and stabbed to death in his Greenwich mansion.

$1M winner: `God is good'

A hard-working home health aide who couldn't afford health insurance for herself is now likely the biggest casino jackpot winner in Florida history.

Paulette Miles, 48, was down to her final spin on a progressive jackpot ''Cash Cow'' Class Two gaming machine at Seminole Coconut Creek Casino on Saturday night when she won what is believed to be a record $1.1 million.

''This is wonderful. Now instead of working seven days a week, I only have to work five days a week,'' said Miles, of Margate, reached by The Miami Herald via her cellphone Wednesday morning as she was leaving the home of a patient she had been caring for overnight.

''God is good,'' Miles said, adding that God apparently smiled on her entire family that weekend.

When she called her father in Wellington, Palm Beach County, to give him the news, he told her that he had just won $7,000 playing the Florida Lottery.
