| Scientist claims WADA ignoring dope tests
A GERMAN scientist claims a new doping test which could help catch drugs cheats at August's Beijing Olympics is being ignored by the World Anti-Doping Agency. Mario Thevis, a professor in doping research at Cologne's sports college, says the new test can detect whether athletes have used insulin and synacthen, which increases the production of steroid hormones in the body, but is being ignored by WADA. American sprinter Marion Jones - who won five Olympic medals in 2000 - was stripped of her titles last year after she admitted using doping products including insulin, which has been virtually impossible to detect in the past. "The behavior of WADA's representatives is absurd," said Thevis. "Speeches and then acting on those words are obviously two different things for WADA. "At first, they promoted our test with €300,000 but now they don't want to know anything about it.
Memorial Grows After Fire At Pet Hospital
Pet owners are trying to put the pieces back together after the fire that killed 16 animals. The fire happened Saturday night at the Paradise Pet Hotel. Firefighters are talking about how hard they worked to save those animals. Tuesday, insurance investigators took a look at what is left of the Paradise Pet Hotel. They collected computers with patient records on them. The fire department is waiting for them to finish up before they start looking into the cause. Action News reporter Kristine Harrington spoke to one firefighter at the scene. The memorial outside the hospital continues to grow and with it sympathy for those lives lost, 16 pets that firefighters were prepared to save.

Jubilee Holdings posted a 26 per cent increase on its pre-tax profit for the year ended December 31, 2007. The profit grew from Sh642.8 million recorded in 2006 to Sh809.5 million after all its business segments - general, medical and life - recorded impressive results. .
